GitaRam Higher Secondary School, Berhampore, Murshidabad was founded in the year 2005 under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (H.S). Mr.Pankaj Chowdhury, the Founder Chairman of GitaRam Education and Health foundation, had taken an initiative to build all-round development of a child so as to face the current challenges of the society. It was started its journey with only 32 children and 15 (teaching & non-teaching) staff. Gradually the Institute enlarged his arms and in the year 2009 Secondary section under the board of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (Madhyamik) was added starting from class V. We have started primary section in 2020 as medium of instruction in English under the West Bengal Board Of Primary Education. From a very hardest beginning, today GitaRam Higher Secondary School enjoys a position of eminence all over the district of Murshidabad. This glorious Institution is located on the bank of river Bhagirathi, on N.H-34, in the midst of eco-friendly atmosphere & soothing pastoral convention. Our school lays emphasis on the holistic development of the students by encouraging participation in the extracurricular activities & application of multimedia on the teaching & learning process. The school always gives emphasis on the tradition & culture of India and gives our students value added culture & knowledge. Students are encouraged to have cultural & spiritual based education that transcends the domestic narrowness of cast, greed, colour, religion & languages.
